The Golden Eagle Band placed third for the second consecutive year at the Desoto Marching Contest. Their show, Arabian Nights, features the classic song of the same name from the movie Aladdin.

The band finished the preliminary round in third, with top three music and percussion scores. In their finals performance, they were not able to pass Rowlett, or back to back Desoto champion, Forney.

“I’ve been doing band for four years and I am proud to see how much this band has grown, and how we’ve improved at competitions.” senior Ken Osadon said.

The band will compete at the Region 3 UIL competition on October 25. The band will be looking to receive sweepstakes once again.
