Waiting for his iPhone internet browser to load Rportal’s mobile interface, senior Ahnaf Arefin grew frustrated.
“We are at the end of the semester; we should be able to see our grades,” Arefin said. “Our teachers post grades within half an hour of students finishing an assignment, but what good does that do if we can’t access them?”
With the rush of teachers logging onto the network to post the last of grades, the amount of internet traffic on the Rportal network has overloaded.
“This is frustrating when it comes to deadlines,” AP English teacher Cameron Yarborough said. ” It’s almost the holiday; we all want to get out of here, and I’m saying that as a teacher. It’s not cool when technology fails you.”
As for the final exam grades, students are forced to wait to see their results for the same reason.
“It literally angers me,”senior Lauren Day said. “The sooner I know my grade, the more time I have to make up an excuse for my parents as to why I did so bad on the exam.”
