Decked out in a peace-sign t-shirt and multicolored beads, Deborah Lemon grooved to “Saturday Night Fever” in front of 2,000 of her daughter’s schoolmates.
“The Senior Parent Dance was hysterical,” senior Kelsy Lemon said. “My mom loves dancing around our house and it’s even more fun to see in public.”
In addition to the parent dance, the pep rally was filled with performances from the Eaglettes, cheerleaders, Desperados, Eagle Guard, Legacy, and Step Team.
The disco-themed pep rally honored the class of 2013, as well as pumped up the crowd for tonight’s last home game against Jesuit High School.
“It was so weird knowing it was the senior pep rally,” Madeline Goss, senior Eagle Guard captain, said. “It hit me right before I ran out onto the court and I just wanted to make it the best yet. It was pretty electrifying and seeing the parents dance was such a blast.”
The pep rally ended with the senior’s long-awaited win of the spirit stick and the alma mater.
“I feel like it made a lot of us nostalgic, thinking about the past three and a half years,” senior Stephanie Ouellette said. “And it was great to finally win the spirit stick
