
Hoping to show a more up-beat side, administrators asked teachers to dress in costumes for Halloween.
“I just tried to find something creative and something interesting that no one has done before,” Math teacher Henry Vo said.
Some students were a little shocked at Vo’s Slender Man outfit.
“My students were scared because Slender Man is passive aggressive,” he said.
Art teacher Chris Young tried to create a pirate costume that would relate to what he teaches.
“I figured seeing as how I teach arrrrrt, it would be perfect,” Young said.
Junior Gaelle Gachelin said she liked the idea, but wished she could have dressed up too.
“I think it’s fun but I don’t think it’s fair because the kids should be able to dress up in appropriate attire,” Gachelin said.
Dressed as a pirate named Captain Bom Bom, English teacher Jean Bommarito enjoyed letting off a little steam.
“Teachers are entitled to have fun too,” she said.
