One of four pep rallies this year will be accompanied by freshman-only pep rallies during seventh period. The first one will take place Friday, October 13th in the large gym.

Freshman pep rallies are the schools solution to over-crowding in the large gym during the event.

“Could you imagine eight hundred more kids?” Principal Chris Choat said.” If you look at the senior and junior sections with only six hundred kids, and with freshman being the largest with eight hundred, the only reason that I thought about it was safety.”

Like the usual pep rallies, the freshman version will include the Eaglettes, Marching Band, Eagle Guard, varsity sports, and the Desperados.

“The pep rally is honestly a lot of fun, but doing things twice is kind of nerve racking,” varsity cheerleader Jamaria Hallum said. “Its worth all the hard work in the end.”
