PTA Reflections 2016-2017 What Is Your Story

Entries Due: October 20, 2016 no later than 1:30pm in the Richardson High School Library. Students may begin turning in entries early but no late entries will be accepted.

Official student entry forms are available at the library. Any student under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardians’ signature on the entry form. All entries must have an artist statement and must be the creative product of one student only. Entries will be judged on how well the student uses his or her artistic vision to portray the theme, originality and creativity.

Entrants accepted in the following categories; Visual Arts, Film Production, Photography, Musical Composition, Literature, and Dance Choreography. Please check with your teachers and library for specific entry guidelines.

Starting on the week of October 20th and running for two weekends, the theatre department presents BY THE BOG OF CATS, a play about a husband’s betrayal and the wife’s bloody revenge, set in Ireland. Tickets can be purchased at the door, and exact show dates can be found throughout the building on our super cool show posters!

EAGLE TENNIS: Our Eagles beat Berkner 10-2 in the semifinal round. They faced off to a very determined Lake Highlands team in the finals. Eagles held strong and played tough. After doubles, Richardson was behind in match count 3-4. Eagles took it to the court in singles and made a statement showing that we weren’t out of this yet. On the boys side, they swept every singles match, taking it to 9-4, with only one match to win it all. At the 4 singles girls and up in a set at 3 and 4 singles girls spot, Eagles were able to take the 10th win and winning the tournament, advancing us to the area tournament as the runner up District champs.

The Art Department would like to congratulate the following students for having their artwork selected for the 2017 Dallas is Diversity Calendar
